Once upon a time, there was a young woman, who at 39, looked down at her arm and reminded herself why she had No Ordinary Life permanently tattooed so she could see it every second of the day…. in blue.

Having had a life filled with random, ridiculous and occasionally raunchy, this young woman decided to start writing again. Due to illness, she hadn’t been able to write for a while, but after  a big heavy kick butt from a friend, she decided to go for it.

The purpose for You Bloody Ripper was twofold.

One – to get back to doing something I love to do. And not be afraid that I can’t.

Two – to remind me that great things happen each and every day. To help me recognise them. To ensure I appreciate them.

Ok, perhaps there were three.

Three – Having had such a random, raunchy and ridiculous life for so long, I needed to commit to Australia. I needed to be focused. And I needed to remind myself that who we are is reflected in what we do, what we see, what we share and whom we inspire. And so, I committed.

Over the past week, I haven’t posted any you bloody rippers. Not to say they haven’t happened. It’s just that I realised that there was just too many bloody rippers everywhere I looked.

And I’m not selfish! I want to share them all!

So finally the young woman decided that this site is no longer going to be just about her.

The site is being redesigned to share funny, motivational, inspiring and candid reviews, video clips, websites, businesses, recipes, profiles and people doing their own bit to make the world a little bit brighter.

It’s time for the friggin awesome, totally cool and fully sweet good stuff to inspire positive discussion, thought, action…. and some serious laughter.

But I need your help – I’ve got options on the name and would love you to help me decide which one to go with. Please vote below (big THANKS)! And if you know of any bloodyrippers that should be included, please send them through to abloodyripper(at)gmail.com.

Oh…. and one last thing. If you want to be one of the first to hear when the new site is launched, make sure you sign up to the newsletter…. just over to the right!

Thank you for following my life, every second day. I’ve shown courage, mooed with the cows, danced in the rain, walked naked around my home, got excited about taking time out, and more than anything, I’ve recognised how many bloody rippers happen, each and every day.

I look forward to you being part of the change and helping us all to recognise how many bloody ripper people, places, experiences and opportunities await us…. no matter where in the world you are!
